North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP has advised manufacturer Excel Polymers LLC on the UK aspects of its $220m sale to leading global polymer group HEXPOL.
Excel Polymers, which operates a facility in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, manufactures materials with elastic properties for the construction, automotive and oil and gas industries.
The deal establishes HEXPOL as the world’s leading rubber compounding group with a manufacturing presence in 9 countries across 24 manufacturing entities.
The SAS Daniels team was led by head of corporate, Jeremy Orrell. He said: “We have worked with Excel Polymers for several years and are delighted to have been involved in this significant step for the business.
“The scale of this deal is testament to the fact that, against the backdrop of a difficult economic climate, the manufacturing sector is continuing to hold up well.”

Excel Polymers is headquartered in Ohio and has eight manufacturing facilities across the USA, CHINA and the UK.
