SAS Daniels names head of office for Chester

Year Published: 2013

Law firm SAS Daniels LLP has made corporate partner Kaye Whitby its new Chester office head following strong growth at the firm.

Kaye, who specialises in corporate transactional and commercial work, has been promoted to the role after becoming a partner in 2008. Kaye advises business clients on a range of matters including corporate structures, acquisitions and disposals, shareholder/partnership agreements and commercial and trading agreements.

The move comes after the firm continued to show strong year on year growth, bucking the trend of the national legal market. SAS Daniels LLP is expecting to post more than £6.5 million turnover in the year to April 2013 – more than a 10% increase on the £5.9 million turnover posted in April 2012.

The firm, which also has offices in Stockport, Macclesfield and Congleton, opened its Chester office in 2009. It now has a full service office in Chester providing both commercial and personal legal services and in just four years has become a major player in the city’s business community. The firm is known locally for its work across corporate and commercial, real estate, family, wills and wealth planning, and dispute resolution.

The strong performance of the firm, which has 25 partners and 65 lawyers across its four offices, is as a result of a progressive growth plan which is expected to lead the firm into the Top 100.

Commenting on the move, Chief Executive of SAS Daniels, said: “We have big ambitions for SAS Daniels, and the swift success of the Chester office has already played a large part in positioning the firm for its continued growth.

“Kaye is a valuable part of what we do in Chester, and I’m delighted to hand her such a pivotal role in the continued growth of our office in the city.”

Kaye Whitby added: “The legal sector continues to undergo change and it is exciting to be able to lead the Chester team, who are an exceptional group of lawyers. We are a forward thinking and ground-breaking law firm and we are pleased to be able to offer our clients innovative pricing and service options. We have actively grown our offering in the city over the last few years and I am delighted to be able to continue our progress.”
