The corporate team at North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP has advised Shotblast Engineering Services (SES) Holywell, North Wales on the merger of their business with Pangborn Limited.
SES are a leading UK manufacturer of surface preparation capital equipment and systems to foundries, forges, steel producers and steel component finishers worldwide.
Pangborn Limited is part of the Pangborn Group, headquartered in Georgia, USA and is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of shot blast, wheel blast, air blast and other surface preparation equipment and solutions.
Pangborn Limited operates from Chester and the merger has enabled the two companies to consolidate and centralise their operations from the SES manufacturing facility, to continue to expand their product offering and service their large installed base of machines worldwide. The merged business will trade under the “Pangborn-SES” name.
Jeremy Orrell, Head of Corporate at SAS Daniels LLP, led a team which included Kaye Whitby and James Goddard who advised on the merger and commented, “Although SES have been an independent company for over 40 years, it made good commercial sense to merge their business with a company who would be able to retain and develop the existing operation’s from the Holywell site. All staff are being retained and Shotblast’s directors will continue to have a significant role in growing the business.”
