Leading North West law firm, SAS Daniels LLP, has been named as a finalist in the category of ‘Developing Young People’ at this year’s Stockport Business Awards.

The award recognises local businesses that encourage and support talented young people by giving them a head start to their careers.

SAS Daniels, which has offices in Stockport, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton, has been selected as one of the final three contenders from more than 100 entries. Winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at the Hallmark Hotel in October, which is attended by 340 business leaders from the region.

Commenting on the awards, Chris Swerling, Head of HR at SAS Daniels, said: “We are thrilled to be a finalist in the Stockport Business Awards and receive recognition for the work we do with young people.

“The firm is passionate about working with budding young talent in our community, which is why trainee and apprenticeships are part of our business strategy. We will see even more training solicitors join us this year with a view to securing a successful career with SAS Daniels.”

Andrew Baggott, Managing Partner of Clarke Nicklin, founders of the awards, said: “This year we had a record number of entries and the calibre of candidates was extremely high, so it’s been our toughest year for judging. The shortlisted companies are a great representative of business success in the town and reflect the vibrancy of businesses in the area. Congratulations and good luck to all of the finalists.”
