Education 360 service to help schools manage HR and employment needs

SAS Daniels LLP, one of the North West’s leading law firms, has launched Education 360 – a legal and HR employment advisory and administration service to help schools in Cheshire manage staff more effectively.

The service is available to all types of schools and can support all of their HR needs in five key areas. It provides:

  1. Access to robust employment law and HR advice when needed;
  2. SAS Protect & HR Solutions services that provide on-site, ongoing fixed fee consultancy and practical help;
  3. HR Administration Online, which provides schools with the ability to manage all HR documents online – from employment contracts to updates of new education policies;
  4. Online payroll service removes the burden of managing the payroll from the school;
  5. Educational consultancy provides practical help and advice to schools on strategic planning and raising standards.

A key element of Employment 360 is provided by its SAS Protect & HR Solutions services, which is already in use by over 50 schools across Cheshire, Great Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside. The service can save schools on average at least £10,000* per year in legal advice on employment issues and HR support.

Employment 360 is delivered by SAS Daniels’ experienced Employment Law & HR team and is supported by educational specialists. The law firm has two education payroll experts, Janine Joddrell and Karen Reid who join from Stockport Council. Both Joddrell and Reid have 20 years of experience in delivering payroll expertise to schools.

SAS Daniels will also work in partnership with education specialist Alan Hewitt to deliver consultancy to schools, academies and sponsors that require support for strategic planning, developing quality processes and systems and raising educational standards.

Usually, schools turn to the Local Authority employment service to help manage their teachers, administrators and support staff. However, the advice it offers is not always provided by lawyers and is often capped at as little as 1.5 hours per employee. For most staff issues this is insufficient to reach a resolution. As part of SAS Protect, schools can access unlimited, practical and robust legal advice and onsite HR support at a fixed fee.
