Cheshire law firm SAS Daniels has smashed through its £9m billings target and is poised for further growth.
The firm, which has four offices in Stockport, Chester, Macclesfield and Congleton, recently moved into a prominent, extensively refurbished office in Chester, allowing more room for expansion.
Growth over the past 12 months has been across all departments. The corporate and commercial team has seen a seven per cent increase and has acted on some of the region’s highest profile deals. In April it advised Challenge Group in its acquisition of TRG Logistics which saw the two companies merge to become Challenge TRG Group with a combined turnover of £120m. The team completed 40 deals during the year.
The commercial litigation department has seen a 36 per cent growth compared to last year and residential conveyancing has also recorded double digit growth.
Over the past 12 months the firm has made four partner promotions, five senior associate and six associate promotions including the promotion of corporate partner Paul Tyrer who is now joint head of the Congleton office and Cheif Operations Officer Russell Oseman who is now joint head of the Stockport office.
There has also been significant investment in recruitment with the addition of a specialist new build property team for residential headed by Scott Mulligan. A further four-strong residential conveyancing team has been recruited in Chester. Jane Caldecott has been appointed as director of conveyancing operations and Steve Simpson has been recruited as head of business development and marketing.
Jeremy Orrell, managing partner at SAS Daniels, said:
“Our client focus and new business wins have continued to drive growth across our business with standout growth in our commercial litigation team. We’ve won some fantastic new clients over the past year, as well as continuing to enjoy the loyalty of long-standing clients.
“Looking forward, our successful recruitment drive and promotions from within put us in a strong position for the year ahead and beyond.
