A care sector expert from law firm SAS Daniels LLP is set to give out free advice on options for long-term care at a seminar in Macclesfield and Chester this month.
The seminar will be hosted by SAS Daniels and local charities including Age UK Cheshire, Age UK Cheshire East, The Alzheimer’s Society, Cheshire Carers Centre, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living, Crossroads Care Cheshire East, Making Space, Parkinson’s UK, and Vintage Blacon.
Speaking about the seminar the Elderly, Care and Mental Capacity team said: “You don’t have to look too far to find an example of how complicated long-term care is becoming. The seminar will be about helping people plan sensibly for the future and navigate the financial and legal issues often encountered in the system.
“Long-term care is very much in the spotlight at the moment with lots of issues in the sector hitting the headlines. It’s no wonder people feel confused about where they stand and what the best path may be.”
The team advises clients nationally on NHS continuing healthcare funding claims and appeals, as well as advising on Local Authority funding.
The seminars will be held at The Tytherington Club in Macclesfield on Wednesday 17 October 2012 and again at Cheshire View, Chester on Thursday, 18 October 2012. The completely free seminar will begin at 09:30am, with a free lunch provided at 1pm.
