The Firm’s First Promotion Under New Legal Services Act Rules
Helen Gowin has been promoted to partner within the Probate team under the new terms of the Legal Services Act which allows non-solicitor managers and legal executives to become partners. She is our first non-solicitor partner appointment.
“I am delighted to be offered this promotion which reflects the Firm’s recognition of the role of legal executives in their practice, raising the status of legal executives as important contributors to the management and development of the business,” said Helen.
Helen, who joined SAS Daniels in 2004, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in July 2006 and currently heads up the estate administration team within the Probate department.
“SAS Daniels is committed to supporting staff to fulfill their potential – Helen’s promotion reflects the increased responsibilities she has undertaken, particularly in an active management role,” said the Managing Partner.
“With over 15 years of experience in dealing with estate administration matters, advising in high net worth cases and inheritance tax issues and estates with a foreign aspect – she is a valued member of the team and her promotion is highly deserved.”
Helen is also a full member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) which is a leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the field of trusts, estates and wills.
In her spare time she enjoys cycling and climbing and regularly takes part in running and triathlon events raising money for local charities.
