Join us at The Business Club Autumn Event 2019 where we will be joined by guest speaker, Sheila Ryan of SR Mindfulness who will be discussing the benefits of mindfulness and how it can benefit staff wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.
How Mindfulness Can Improve Your Employees’ Mental Health
In the UK, 15.4 million working days were lost due to stress, depression and anxiety in 2017-2018. The adverse effects of poor mental health problems for both individuals and their companies can be greatly reduced with the appropriate techniques and management in place. Mindfulness is an effective approach that can improve staff wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.
Join us at The Business Club where guest speaker Sheila Ryan from SR Mindfulness will make the case for mindfulness in the workplace and discuss what wellbeing provision looks like, as well as how companies can implement mindfulness to support employee mental health. Participants will also have an opportunity to experience a mindfulness practice for themselves and further explore the benefits.
Sheila has an extensive background working in banking, commodities trading and recruitment as well as being highly experienced in the UK education system and healthcare sectors. Therefore, she is very familiar with the demands placed on individuals in high-pressured and fast-paced working environments.
A certified ‘paws b’ mindfulness teacher with over 25 years of personal meditation practice, Sheila creates bespoke Mindfulness in the Workplace programmes as part of company wellbeing initiatives.
