Meet the Team : Aalia Ijaz

Aalia Ijaz

I am an Associate in the Wills, Trust and Probate team, specialising in preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. My work also includes creating Trusts, helping clients through the estate administration process and advising on contentious probate disputes relating to the administration of an estate.

I advise clients across Cheshire from our Stockport, Macclesfield and Congleton offices and will also see clients at their home or in hospital if they are unable to make it into one of our offices.

Within my career I have completed my training contract with SAS Daniels to become a qualified Solicitor and am also a qualified STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Solicitor. As well as this I am a member of the Stockport Law Society.

What people say about me:

"Special thanks to Aalia whose courteous manner was greatly appreciated at this difficult time." (Jane Holmes)

"May I take this opportunity to thank you for the work you have done, everything has been very professional, thorough and sensitively dealt with at a difficult time for myself and Jane." (Anne Sarson)

Why I'm no ordinary professional:

I am approachable and always want to make my clients feel at ease when asking questions about issues that they do not fully understand. I take the time to get to know my clients and their circumstances to make sure I provide the best advice. Thinking about your Will can be quite daunting but my aim is to ensure that the client leaves with peace of mind.

A bit about me

If you weren’t a lawyer / didn’t work at SAS Daniels what would you be doing?

I would probably be an event planner as I enjoy planning social events both for my colleagues and friends. I love any excuse to have a celebration (and cake)!

What’s the best place you’ve visited and why?

I absolutely loved Langkawi in Malaysia. I travelled there on my honeymoon and it is one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I have ever been to.

What was your first/most interesting job?

Working as a sales assistant at Monsoon Accessorize – I just remember spending all my earnings in the store after I finished my shift!
