I’m a HR Consultant in the Education team, advising schools, colleges and academies on all aspects of their employment law and HR matters. Within my career I have over 9 years’ experience working in Human Resources for local government. During that period I have primarily supported schools and academies on a wide range of employment issues ranging from disciplinary, attendance, TUPE, redundancy, performance and equal pay, to name a few.
I have a business degree from The University of Liverpool and became MCIPD qualified in 2010 after studying at The University of Central Lancashire.
Joined SAS Daniels: 2017
What people say about me:
Nick Brown "works very effectively on a day-to-day basis with schools." (Legal 500, 2018)
Why I'm no ordinary professional:
I enjoy having the opportunity to work with schools and academies and take a great deal of satisfaction in helping them work through any employment issues which ultimately assists them in improving the education they provide for young people. I take an active interest in researching changes in employment law legislation and practice to continue to offer the best solutions and support when dealing with any difficult employment issues.
A bit about me
What is your favourite sport?
Golf. Now I’m getting older I find my football skills are not what they were.
What’s your favourite football team?
Arsenal. The only reason for this is that I was a big Ian Wright fan as a child and that’s who he played for so I'm stuck with them.
What was your first/most interesting job?
I worked as an usher at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. This was fascinating due to the variety of shows and performances I saw whilst there.
