Rob Kane, Business Development Manager at leading Cheshire law firm SAS Daniels will be donning his walking boots on 18 September to take on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the firm’s 2017/18 charity of the year, Visyon. Visyon supports the emotional health of children, young people and their families in the Cheshire and Staffordshire Moorlands areas.
The challenge, which will see Rob take on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough solo in under 12 hours, is 24 miles long and takes in 5,200ft of ascent and descent.
Commenting on the challenge Rob says: “I have climbed each peak individually more times than I remember, but I have never attempted the whole walk in one go. My late dad completed this challenge over 10 times and I want to do it too. It has been on the bucket-list for years! It will be tough physically as well as mentally, but I’m looking forward to doing it for such a worthy and local cause.”
Sandi Marshall, Visyon’s Business Development Manager comments: “We’re delighted that Rob has chosen to take on this challenge to help raise money for Visyon. We work with over 1000 local children every year but with many more on our waiting lists, Rob’s challenge will help us to raise awareness of our work so we can secure the funding we need.”
For those wanting to show their support and donate to Visyon, Rob has set up a justgiving page.
