A leading expert in long term care planning is to give residents of Macclesfield and Chester the opportunity to hear essential information about the legal, general and financial issues surrounding long term care. The advice, being given at events in the two areas, will explain how the funding system works to enable people to plan for their care whilst still leaving an inheritance for their loved ones.
Hosted by the Elderly, Care & Mental Capacity team at North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP, the seminars are being supported by Age UK Cheshire, Age UK Cheshire East, The Alzheimer’s Society, Cheshire and Warrington Carers Centre, Cheshire Centre for Independent Living, Cross Roads Care, Making Space, Vintage Blacon and Parkinsons UK.
Speaking about the seminar the Elderly, Care and Mental Capacity team said: “Long-term care is becoming more & more complicated, especially now with the new proposals, and it’s no wonder people feel unsure about how the system works and what their rights and options are. This seminar will help clarify what people need to be thinking about, and how best to go about securing their futures.”
The team advises clients nationally on NHS continuing healthcare funding claims and appeals, as well as advising on Local Authority funding.
The Macclesfield event takes place on Wednesday 30th October at Macclesfield Town Football Club, whilst the event in Chester will be on Thursday 31st October at Cheshire View. Attendance for both events is free, with registration starting at 9.30 and the event itself commencing at 10.00. The seminar runs until 13.00 on both days, with lunch then available until 14.00.
