Macclesfield Law Society recently held its annual dinner for legal professionals at the Alderley Edge Hotel on Friday, 7 February for over 120 distinguished guests.
The black tie dinner was hosted by Macclesfield Law Society president who was joined by fellow colleagues and partners of SAS Daniels LLP Justine Clowes and Nigel Read in addition to many other legal professionals and several judges.
The highlight of the evening was the raffle, where over £1000 was raised for Ruby’s Fund – a charity founded as a direct response to a lack of practical assistance, social support and multi-sensory services for children with additional needs and their families, friends and carers. Ruby’s fund, based in Congleton is currently raising money for a fully inclusive sensory centre and social café for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, which is set to open in 2014. The team at SAS Daniels Macclesfield commented “The Macclesfield Law Society dinner is an opportunity for the most talented legal professionals in Macclesfield and the surrounding area to get together. This year we have been overwhelmed with support for Ruby’s fund and would like to thank our guests for their generosity.”
Originally established in the 1930s, the Macclesfield Law Society has over 60 professional members who meet monthly to represent local firms of solicitors and also for social purposes. Visit the Macclesfield and East Cheshire Law Society website for further details.
