Two of SAS Daniels’ four Cheshire-based offices, Congleton and Macclesfield, joined forces to host the engaging event at Macclesfield Football Club, for which the firm is a proud sponsor.
Members of the local business community were welcomed for the anticipated occasion, where they had the valuable opportunity to develop connections with other professionals, keep up to date with local developments, and speak with members of the SAS Daniels team, all while enjoying hot beverages and delicious breakfast rolls.
Cllr Kay Wesley delivered an insightful talk to guests, discussing diversity and inclusion in today’s society. In addition, Kay addressed the importance of equality for successful businesses and communities, as well as sharing guidance on how companies can ensure unconscious bias is not a factor in their recruitment process.
Significantly, as a platinum sponsor of the Macclesfield Beer Festival, SAS Daniels also introduced James Hogben, Principal Director of Hogbens Chartered Surveyors and Chair of the Macclesfield Beer Festival Committee, who shared insight into the upcoming event.
Welcoming attendees, Steven Percy, partner and head of commercial property said: “I would like to thank you all for coming today – it’s always a well-supported event, and I can see many familiar faces around the room, which is lovely to see.”
Justine Clowes, business owner, partner and joint head of Macclesfield office commented: “It is always a pleasure to celebrate the success of our popular business breakfast event, with so many in attendance once again. As a firm, we recognise the value of fostering connections amongst businesses within our office localities, and the business breakfast offers the ideal networking opportunity to do just that while also highlighting the important work of local causes and organisations.”
