Surrender of Lease & Sale to Undertenant

We acted for a group of four owners of commercial premises that was subject to a lease and sub lease. It was agreed that the current tenant would surrender the lease with a large payment to compensate our clients for dilapidations and on the same day as the surrender, the property would be sold to the current occupying subtenant. The sums involved were in millions of pounds. We managed the timescale in which work was to be done by the two other parties and ensured we all worked to the same plan for getting the project over the line. The clients clearly had a lot at stake, but felt that the way we managed this had made it stress free for them.
