Kaye Whitby, Corporate Partner and head of the Chester office of North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP, has been named Business Woman of the Year at the Chester Women in Business Awards.
The awards, new for 2013, have been set up to recognise the contributions of women in the Chester business community. Kaye took the title just months after her promotion to head up SAS Daniels’ Chester office.
Kaye said “I was delighted to have been nominated for this award, however to win is an honour. The Chester office has had a fantastic year so far and I firmly believe that this award is representative of the firm’s commitment to professional excellence.
Chester’s reputation as a dynamic place to do business and obtain quality professional advice is growing rapidly. There are some great companies that are really prospering, and its inspiring to be a part of that.”
Kaye joined SAS Daniels in 2008, and in addition to her role heading up the Chester office, she advises a broad range of business clients on corporate structures, mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
She also advises businesses on their shareholder and partnership arrangements together with specialist commercial and trading agreements, and is also a trustee and director of Chester Lodging and Support Providers (CLASP).
Chairman of SAS Daniels, said: “We’re incredibly proud that Kaye has received the recognition that she deserves and believe that it is reflective of the great strides the corporate group has made in the last two years”.
“Kaye is a credit to SAS Daniels and I know I can speak on behalf of both her colleagues and clients in congratulating her on her award.”
