Macclesfield sits in the east of Cheshire along the river Bollin. Surrounded by the rolling Cheshire plains to the west and Peak District to the east, it’s known as a market town and famous for its historic silk industry.
Macclesfield’s well-known Treacle Market dates back to 2010 and now takes place on the last Sunday of each month. Featuring around 160 stalls it’s a fantastic place to experience local produce from food and drink to crafts and unique gifts. The Treacle Market has quickly become more than just a market, it’s now a place where friends and families meet to catch up at local cafés and take in the live music come rain or shine.
The sport in Macclesfield is also big on the town’s agenda with The Silk Men (Macclesfield Town Football Club), The Blues (Macclesfield Rugby Union Club) and Macclesfield Cricket Club which features five teams. At SAS Daniels Solicitors we’re keen to support our local communities and sponsor these three clubs throughout their sporting calendars.
